I am quoting my mother in that title. That’s what she called me while I was basking in the bliss of a spa afternoon, compliments of my husband. He bought me a 4 hour “Beauty Bliss” experience which included a massage, a pedicure, a facial, lunch, and champagne. I’ll be honest with you. It was the best day I’ve had in a long time, probably about 4 years, since my wedding day. It’s a really good thing I know how to live in the moment (most of the time) because I have recalled those 240 moments many, many times in the past couple days. The unfamiliar feeling of being completely relaxed, alone, empty of thought, not a care in the world, was simply amazing. Life just isn’t like that at all, no away, EVER!
After sending periodic text updates, like “Massage.Check….Facial. Check. Champagne.Check….Lunch. Check. Pedicure,Check…I came home and thanked him for this blissful day. I also said, and I meant what I said, “You don’t ever have to think about what to get me for any occasion ever again. That is it.”
I hope he heard me.
