Thank you to MixBook and US Family Guide for my complimentary photo book in exchange for this review.
What fun I had making this book! It was especially nice to finally have a professional portfolio of my work. The colors are vibrant. The book is of excellent quality. The process was easy and fun. Some of my photos would have been of poor quality, so the program warned me and gave me a chance to change them. Every photo turned out beautifully! I will be quite proud to share this portfolio with potential customers. Thank you, MixBook.
Weekly Photo Challenge: Bubbles!
This is a cropped photo of the bubbles from my wedding reception. I love how the light reflects off the bubbles, creating pretty pastels. I also like the happy memories it brings. The hand belongs to one of my brothers. He’s on my mind today.
Rachel’s Day in the Garden: A Kids Yoga Spring Colors Book by Giselle Shardlow
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
‘Rachel’s Day in the Garden’ is beautiful on so many levels. The illustrations are colorful, happy, and inspiring. The use of well chosen yoga poses not only works with the story line, but inspires movement and imagination in a unique way. We especially liked the bees and butterflies, just like Sammy. I would recommend this book to anyone caring for young children. It can be narrated with guidance for the little ones or given as an independent movement and imagery study for older readers. So glad to see yoga, literature, and visual art in perfect harmony!
