Dance to the Reggae Rhythm!

Dance to the reggae rhythm with Aaron Nigel Smith!

Don’t you want to just hang out with this guy?!  We do. This CD starts out with such an enthusiastic invitation for children to Dance to the Reggae Rhythm and you can’t help but to get up and do just that.  He also includes his own soft and sweet version of If I Had a Hammer with reggae icon, Ernie Smith.  But our absolute favorite is Banana Bread! We make banana bread together all the time. We happen to have three very ripe bananas right now and can’t wait to play that tune and bake that banana bread. Aaron, we’ll save a piece for you!

Thank you to Sugar Mountain PR for our complimentary CD in exchange for this review. Here’s more information from them:

Happy Love Day

To celebrate love today and every day, enjoy one of my recent poems:

The heart begins its dance in a very private place. It needs not be told how.

The beat is steady and the music is strong.

When it emerges to be of this world, it is forced to learn about pain.

But the beat is still steady and the music is strong.

People ask things of it and question its worth. It sends its love out but often comes up short.

Yet the beat is steady and the music is strong.

When the heart knows it is safe and offers love to another,

Then, that heart feels safe and offers love to yet another.

Then three hearts beat steady and the music is strong.

The dance goes on and on and before you know it,

Everyone’s heart feels safe and every heart feels love.

The beat is steady.

The music is strong.

The dance is forever beautiful.

Act my age?

I didn’t act my age last night and it was fabulous! I went to the type of bar I haven’t been to since my college days. I stayed out past midnight. I drank beer. I hung out with the band. I danced with birthday cake in my hand to music I wouldn’t normally listen to. All in my yoga clothes after teaching class!

Thanks to RDGLDGRN for an amazing concert! Great guys with such talent! They are on to Greensboro, NC next. Safe travels guys!

Loving our AdoramaPix Photo Book!

Thank you to US Family Guide and AdoramaPix for this complimentary photo book in exchange for my review.

What a special way to commemorate my daughter’s first day of dance class! She is starting at the age of three, just like I did. But when I started, way back in 1970, this wasn’t possible! I miss having mementos of my early days of dance, so I am so glad I get to give Emma this lasting and beautiful book.

The process was so easy. The customer service reps at AdoramaPix were friendly and helpful. I had a lot of fun choosing the theme, assembling the photos, and adding some text. We received our book very quickly. It is displayed proudly on Emma’s dresser and will always be a treasured keepsake.
