Feel What U Feel with Lisa Loeb

We never fail to feel what we feel with Lisa Loeb‘s children’s CDs! As soon as the title song came on in my car, I started in with my standard head bob. I looked in the rear view mirror and saw my daughter doing the same exact thing! It’s one of those songs that makes me say, “It’s got a good beat and you can dance to it.” Wiggle and Wanna Do Day give us that same vibe.

The entire collection is a wonderful variety of sweet, sassy, and full of love. Lisa, along with a few of her friends, remind us that You Can Count on Me, It’s Alright To Cry, and You Have It In You. As well as appreciating the songs we can jam to, as a mother, I also love the messages these songs send to my impressionable four-year old girl.

Feel What U Feel is available on Amazon in lots of different ways. Check it out here.

Thank you to Beth Blenz-Clucas from Sugar Mountain PR for our complimentary CD in exchange for this review and for allowing my brief hiatus while I finalized my book publication. I am honored to support this organization’s mission to share awesome, family-friendly media.

Emma’s Song Series: #1 “Go To Sleep”

Emma’s Song Series

I’ve written a few songs, both original and “to the tune of”, for my daughter in the last 3.5 years. Someday, I plan to publish them or whatever. I thought I might start by putting them here.

GO TO SLEEP (sung to the tune of Brahms’ Lullaby)

Go to sleep, Emma Grace.

Dream of all things around you.

Dream of butterflies in the sky, flying way up high.

Dream to dance, dream to sing, dream to be anything.

Go to sleep, Emma Grace.

First, I’ll kiss your face.
