Writing From the Heart

One of my favorite things to do is writing. I consider it such an honor to write for other people, purposes, and outlets. It’s even more gratifying when someone actually pays me to write. Never thought that would happen.

I’ve been writing for Between the Bridges for about nine months now. I write a column called Mom2Mom as well as the occasional review, family feature, or sponsor spotlight. When I write my Mom2Mom column almost every month, I really do write from the heart. I stand behind every word I say and I truly want the readers to gain something from it. I feel proud when I see my work within the finished product and I hope my community sees the value in this resident friendly publication.

My subject this month was about that ever famous question, “Are you ready for the holidays?” My answer is always a resounding YES, but not for the reasons that most people think. In this column, I share some of the ways I have found to fully enjoy the holiday season without wasting all of my time getting ready for it.

Little Ol’ Me…Published!

The February issue of Between the Bridges magazine includes my first ever paid, published article . As Staff Writer, my work will be featured in the monthly Mom2Mom column.

The issue was due in our mailboxes any time after February 1st. I will gladly admit that I made a special trip to the mailbox every day this week and was finally so pleased to see it there on Friday!

My Mom2Mom column will present a unique outlook on motherhood, coming from experience and honesty.
